Georges Valmier was a French painter whose artistic journey traversed significant movements in modern art history. He began with Impressionism in his early years, transitioned to Cubism around 25, and embraced Abstractionism from 1921 onward. Besides painting, Valmier designed sets and costumes for theatre and ballet and created models for fabrics, carpets, and other objects. His work includes fewer than 300 oil paintings, as his career was cut short by his untimely death at the age of 51.
